Our recommendation, arrive early for happy hour and enjoy a drink at R Bar while watching the sunset. R Bar is located near the main lobby when and has a beautiful elevated patio, and DJ setting the mood!
Once the sun had set, it was dinner time! Double Ikat is named after the intricate indigenous weaving technique. It pays homage to this artistry by meticulously crafting each dish with vibrant local flavors and modern cooking methods.
Upon entering, we were greeted by colorful spools of thread and a traditional loom, showcasing the complexity of the Ikat weaving process. The restaurant’s decor is reminiscent of threaded looms. It provided both an iconic backdrop and a sense of intimacy.
From sambal-making demonstrations to a menu featuring beloved dishes from across Indonesia, Double Ikat prioritizes authenticity and quality. If there is one place to try babi guling (roast suckling pig) it’s at this restaurant! Other top-quality dishes we enjoyed were the chicken satay, oxtail soup, and fried snapper in a curry sauce. The dessert featuring banana mousse and lime sorbet was so light and refreshing.
Overall, this elevated Indonesian dining experience with fusion dishes was exceptional. Each dish we had was prepared beautifully and packed with so much flavor. What made this experience extra special was the attentiveness and service standards of the staff. They always were quick and so helpful in explaining several of the dishes.
3. Roosterfish Beach Club
We had to include Roosterfish in this list of Uluwatu restaurants! Although it’s about a 25-minute drive from the main Uluwatu center, it’s so worth it! The beach club is associated with Renaissance Hotel (Marriott) and offers free shuttles to the beach club from the hotel.

If you want a relaxing day lounging at a beach club with beach access, Roosterfish is a great option. We spent the entire day at Roosterfish first for brunch and then for a seafood sunset feast for dinner.

It’s open daily from 8 am to 10 pm, Gooseberry offers a modern menu featuring breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. It focuses on using the freshest seasonal ingredients which was recognized in all the dishes we tried.
We visited Gooseberry for brunch and ordered souffle pancakes, a smoothie bowl, and lemon meringue tart. The smoothie bowls were abundant and loved the refreshing bursts of fresh fruit. The souffle pancakes were excellent as well, light and fluffy for all you sweet tooth lovers out there. Ending with a pastry, the Lemon Tart with meringue was to die for, tart flavors and buttery shortbread, delicious!
We recommend booking a reservation in advance. It has different dining options for indoor comfort with air conditioning or outdoor dining overlooking the pool. We loved the vibes overall, one of the most aesthetically pleasing Uluwatu restaurants.

We came across this Warung when looking for a brunch restaurant on the cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. We couldn’t believe the prices, so many options 50,000 IDR and under which is less than $5. We ordered the avocado toast, smoothie bowl, and healthy juices.
All were super fresh and large portions, the value simply can’t be beat! Now let’s talk about the restaurant ambiance! There was a beautiful breeze and we chose bar-style seating overlooking the ocean where you could observe surfers riding waves.
To note, the restaurant is located inside Bluepoint Beach checkpoint, commonly known as Suluban Beach. We would recommend getting dropped off at the parking lot. From the parking lot, you will follow the staircase down to the restaurant. It’s common to have to pay ~$1 entry fee to the beach checkpoints. In December 2016, amidst Uluwatu’s renowned waves, there was a gap in the coffee scene. Suka started with a coffee machine, a domestic fridge, and a panini press. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the experience. There was a packed house when we visited and popular among visitors when they visit Uluwatu. If you’re vegan or vegetarian you will not find it trouble to find something to eat here with many options!
11. Mana Uluwatu
Mana Restaurant is an oasis offering a high-quality menu and one of the best Uluwatu restaurants to watch a sunset. From the moment you arrive at the restaurant, you’re greeted with sweeping ocean views and a sun ready to set.
The restaurant offers two distinct settings: a formal dining area upstairs and a more relaxed atmosphere by the infinity pool. Both spaces have unique menus, ensuring there’s something for every taste.
The ambiance is lovely, open-air pavilion crafted from reclaimed teak and ironwood. Dining with a backdrop of panoramic ocean views, sea breezes, and a golden sunset in the distance is stunning!

We loved the fun, colorful, and cozy decor! There are plenty of seats if you want to enjoy the patio or eat in an air-conditioned cafe’s interior. It’s an ideal spot to unwind with friends, get some work done, or simply relax!
It was hard to not try one of the delicious cakes that was staring at us in the display. It’s most popular in the morning however, keep an eye out for events and specials on its Facebook page. It’s one of the Uluwatu restaurants that has live music daily!

Warung Lokal Uluwatu is the most budget-friendly option out of all the Uluwatu restaurants on the list. You can’t judge a book by its cover because this warung shocked us! It’s run by a very friendly Indonesian family serving very good traditional dishes.

We ordered mie goreng and chicken satay with an ice-cold refreshing coconut. Mie goreng is the Indonesian fried noodles with vegetables. For less than $2.50-$3 a person how can you go wrong?

It’s so local that there are barely any reviews and info online. We do know it opens around 8:30 AM when we arrive! We’re happy we stumbled upon this warung and deserves more hype. The food was just as good as some of the other warungs we tried in Bali!
