Best Time to Visit Bali

The best time to visit Bali is during the peak season, which is between May and September when you can expect sunny weather, minimal rainfall, and ideal conditions for outdoor activities and tourist attractions. During this period, temperatures range from 26°C (79°F) to 33°C (91°F).

The rainy season in Bali, from October to April, typically brings the highest rainfall. However, it also offers the advantage of lush greenery and fewer tourists, with temperatures ranging from 23°C (73°F) to 30°C (86°F).

7 Things You Need to Know Waterbom Bali

Optimal Ticket Choices: Klook Bali Pass – Choose a Minimum of 2 Attractions

For the best value and flexibility, we recommend the Klook Bali Pass, where you can select a minimum of two attractions that pique your interest. Alternatively, you can opt to book individual tickets directly on Klook.

Avoid On-Site Ticket Purchases for Cost Savings

A vital tip to keep in mind: steer clear of purchasing tickets at the park itself, as they tend to be more expensive. By pre-booking your tickets, you’ll not only secure your spot but also save significantly. Detailed insights on this money-saving strategy await you in the tips section below.

Ride-Sharing Services: Opt for the convenience of a taxi or ride-sharing service for a hassle-free journey to Waterbom Bali. Flag down a cab or use popular ride-sharing apps available in Bali, ensuring a comfortable and quick ride to the waterpark. We recommend using Grab or GoJek.

Map & Location Info

Nestled amid the lush tropical beauty of Bali and conveniently located in Kuta, close to the airport, lies Waterbom Bali, a waterpark that has earned its reputation as Asia’s number one destination for aquatic thrills and excitement. Whether you’re a seasoned waterpark enthusiast, seeking a day of family fun or with your plus one, there are rides of all levels and fun. I also have to admit, this waterpark has the BEST food of any waterpark I’ve ever been to.

Our Experience & Guide

We are going to prepare for the ultimate aquatic escapade at Waterbom Bali, Asia’s #1 waterpark. Before you dive into the thrilling slides and tropical paradise, here are seven vital things you need to know to ensure a fantastic day of fun and excitement.

Pre book Your Waterbom Tickets 2

1. Pre-book Your Tickets Online for Spectacular Savings

Don’t miss out on significant savings – pre-book your tickets online! I personally opted for Klook’s Bali Pass, and the savings and convenience were so worth it—almost 40% off on numerous Bali activities. Besides the cost-effectiveness, pre-booking also grants you seamless entry, bypassing any hassles at the gate. Read more about the other activities we did with the Klook Bali Pass.

Waterbom Ticket Information

If you get the two activities pass it will cost you ~$42.25 USD and you can pick from a list of over 30 activities like ATV rides, Bali Massage, White Water Rafting and more. Therefore it makes each activity only ~$21.12 USD! BEST VALUE!

If you don’t want to get the Klook Bali Pass you can also buy individual tickets for a discount here. It will cost about ~$28.89 USD per adult ticket. ~$21.45 USD per child ticket. Or about ~$92.60 USD for 2 adult tickets and 2 child tickets. Sometimes you may get lucky and there are extra promotions. Use discount code “HUNGRYPURSUIT” at checkout when you book on Klook for additional savings.

If you show up at the waterpark without pre-booking a ticket you’ll have to wait in queue and the tickets at the park 580,000 IDR (~$37.69 USD) for adults and 430,000 IDR (~$27.95 USD) for children. You can also book ticket’s directly on Waterbom’s website where you get a discount for pre-booking with them but the Klook tickets are still the best value. For example an adult discount ticket is ~$32.05 USD.

To redeem your tickets on the day is very easy. There’s a specific line for those who have pre-booked tickets, just show your QR code for the staff to scan that is sent to you or on your Klook app and you’ll be able to enter with ease.

2. Be a Ride Pro: Prioritize Your Thrills

To make the most of your Waterbom experience, prioritize the rides with the longest lines. Get your adrenaline pumping by tackling these first, as they tend to draw larger crowds. Fortunately, other rides in the park often have shorter wait times, ensuring your excitement continues to flow.

There rides tend to have the longest lines and are the most seek thrilling:

Bomerang

This ride is most fun with you have someone to ride with. The heavier you are the more air you will get on the bomerang.

Bomerang Waterbom

Python

This ride always has the longest wait. It’s a tube ride that fits up to 4 people. Definitely a popular option if you’re with a group you can see each others’ reactions.

Phython Waterbom Bali 1

Pipeline

This one has a long wait because it doesn’t have as much of a height constraint as some of the other rides. You’ll see a lot of kids lined up for this body slide. It doesn’t get as much speed as the other body slides but great option for the kids that want something thrilling but can’t ride a ride like the climax.

Our favorite rides

  • Bomerang – Tube ride
  • Climax – Body slide
  • Double Twist – body slide

I will say, we arrived when the waterpark opened and stayed all day. We got to ride every single ride (expect the kiddie ones) and our favorite ones multiple times! The longest wait for 40 minutes for the Phyton and this was in the middle of dry season on a Tuesday. Other rides were 1 minute to 15 minute wait at most.

3. Early Birds Get the Splash: Arrive Early

Arriving promptly at the park’s opening hour is a smart move. While there may be a brief line to enter, it moves swiftly. However, within the first hour, lockers in the main area may be fully occupied, and gazebos are quickly rented out. So if you’re with a group or family a very popular option is to pre-book a gazebo to use as your base to relax in between rides. There’s also a locker that comes with the gazebo too which makes it so popular.

Arrive Early to Waterbom

Regular locker (perfect for a couple) two small backpacks and shoes

35,000 IDR (About $2.30 USD)

Family-sized locker

45,000 IDR (About $2.95 USD)

To secure your spot, consider pre-booking or arriving first thing in the morning. Don’t worry there are plenty of lockers in other areas of the waterpark in addition tons of loungers if you didn’t get to rent a gazebo.

Arrive Early to Waterbom 2

There are also towels for rent only 20,000 IDR (About $1.30 USD) with a 62,000 IDR (About $4.05 USD) deposit you’ll get back once you return it or you’ll lose your deposit.

4. Hydrate and Savor the Flavors: Bring Water but splurge on food

Stay hydrated during your water adventures by bringing your water. Water is allowed, but outside food and beverages are not.

Hydrate Bring Water

Waterbom Bali boasts a variety of delicious food options throughout the park, so make sure to indulge in their delectable offerings. Check out my video Everything I Ate at Waterbom Bali to see the mouthwatering delights and their prices.

There are so many options from Indonesian food, Italian food, lots of western food options and even Jamaican food! I was very impressed by the food options and pricing.

Splurge on Food

Look at this Freak shake! (Milk shake) The mushroom truffle pizza was also a hit. If you’re staying in the area or around Seminyak, check out our food guide of must try restaurants.

5. Zipper-Free Splash Fun: Check Your Swimwear

Before you take the plunge, check your swimwear for any metals or zippers. This is usually found on men’s swimwear shorts the small metal grommet. Even the tiniest metal circle can prevent you from riding some of the attractions, specifically the Extreme body slides like the Climax. This ride is so fun and you don’t want to miss out on it. Trust me; you don’t want to end up like that guy flipping his shorts inside out.

We even saw a lady get turned away to ride the Climax because she had a zipper at the back of her bikini bottoms. It’s all for safety reasons but better to know before you go!

6. Capture the Memories: Waterproof Cameras Welcome

Bring along your waterproof camera or GoPro to capture unforgettable memories. However, please note that these devices are prohibited on body slides, and handheld sticks are not allowed on either.

Capture Memories with a GoPro

On most of the tube slides, we were able to bring our GoPro to capture the fun. So, snap away and relive the thrill!

7. Cashless Convenience: Top-Up and Enjoy

Waterbom Bali operates as a cashless waterpark. Top up your bracelet with cash or a credit card for hassle-free transactions. Any remaining credit will be refunded to you in exact cash.

TIP: We loaded our bracelets with a ton of money using our foreign exchange fee-free Mastercard to have a ton left over. We definitely spent a lot more than we anticipated but that’s because the food was so good, we decided to stay for dinner as well. I mean we’re not encouraging it but it was definitely helpful to grab extra cash without having to pay hefty ATM fees.

Waterbom Bali Cash Refund Cashless

At the end of most thrilling rides keep an eye out for the orange bracelet held by photographers if you want professional photos taken throughout the park. Spot the photographers and take home cherished memories at the end of your aquatic adventure.

Waterbom Bali Photos

As kids out parents used to always buy these photos for us so it’s nice that they have this option. I know it can usually be on the pricier side.

With these seven essential tips, you’re ready to make a splash at Waterbom Bali and create lasting memories of your Bali getaway. Enjoy your thrilling day of water-filled fun!

Our Thoughts

In all honesty, our visit to Waterbom Bali was an absolute blast! Having experienced a bustling waterpark in Singapore just a few months prior, we were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency and speed of the lines here. Despite the park attracting a good number of visitors, our adventure remained seamless and enjoyable. With a plethora of exciting activities and delectable food options to choose from, we were thoroughly impressed.

The pricing was also budget-friendly, and using our Klook Bali Pass provided substantial savings, making it an even more worthwhile experience. Now, some might wonder if it’s worth flying all the way to Bali for a waterpark adventure, and our resounding answer is yes! The vibrant staff, impeccable cleanliness, and top-notch organization only added to our enjoyment. Without a doubt, we’d return for another round of aquatic fun in a heartbeat.
