We loved staying near the water in a spacious Airbnb, exploring Gamcheon Culture Village dressed in traditional hanboks, and indulging in street food at BIFF Square and fresh seafood at Jagalchi Market. For an unforgettable and relaxing experience, visit Spa Land Centum City, Korea’s largest bathhouse—it’s a must-do even if you’re a first-timer!

To make exploring easier, we used the Visit Busan Pass, which saved us time and money. It covered so many attractions, including a cruise on the Diamond Bay Yacht, the Songdo Marine Cable Car, and Lotte World Busan. Whether you’re planning a 1, 2 or 3 day Busan itinerary – it’s an unforgettable destination.

How many days do you need in Busan?

For most travelers, 3 days is the ideal amount of time to experience the best of Busan. You’ll have enough time add top attractions like Gamcheon Culture Village, Haeundae Beach, and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple while still enjoying the city’s vibrant street food scene and coastal charm. If you’re on a tighter schedule, 2 days can cover the highlights, but with 4-5 days, you can take a more relaxed pace, and add day trips!

During our visit, we used the Visit Busan Pass, which turned out to be a game-changer. It gave us access to the best Busan attractions for one affordable price! The pass saved us a lot of money and made planning our Busan itinerary so much easier, so we highly recommend it if you’re visiting multiple attractions or want a great deal!

Breakfast at Gamcheon Culture Village

Start your first day in Busan by strolling through one of the best places in Busan –Gamcheon Culture Village. This colorful and artsy village is a maze of vibrant murals, tiny alleys, and quirky art installations and offers free entry!

Grab a coffee at one of the cafes or visit one of the many vendors selling Korean street food here and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere as you explore the streets. There are so many yummy options I dive deeper into Gamcheon Culture Village and it’s food market in Busan here.

For a truly memorable experience, rent a Hanbok (traditional Korean attire) and enjoy a fun photo shoot around Gamcheon Culture Village—it’s one of the must-try activities included in the Visit Busan Pass. If you prefer to go at your own pace, a 2-hour rental is less than $15 USD and can be easily pre-booked online. Ladies can even enjoy complimentary hairstyling! We set up a tripod and captured some beautiful shots, which became instant favorites when we shared them with our moms.

How much time should I spend at Gamcheon Culture Village?

For your Gamcheon Culture Village itinerary, we recommend arriving early and dedicating at least 3 hours to explore the area. The village is large and filled with colorful streets, art, and hidden spots, so you can easily spend more time if you want to fully soak in the atmosphere. Whether you’re snapping photos, discovering local art, or simply strolling through the vibrant streets, the time you spend here depends on how much you want to experience.

Lunch At Korea's Largest Fish Market

From Gamcheon Culture Village, it’s just a 6-minute bus ride to Jagalchi Market. If you’re using public transit, Google Maps works well, but we recommend using Kakao Maps, which you can download here for more accurate directions.

Jagalchi Market for the freshest seafood

Jagalchi Market is the largest seafood market in Korea, offering a bustling atmosphere with rows of fresh fish, shellfish, and other sea creatures. You’ll find vendors selling seafood by the kilogram, and you can even pick out your meal to have it cooked right on the spot! It’s a must-see spot for seafood lovers looking to experience authentic Busan flavors you can check out my guide here where I also have prices listed to give you an idea.

Biff Square for Busan's Best Korean Street Food

Not a fan of seafood? No problem! Head over to BIFF Square nearby, where you’ll find an array of delicious street food. Try the crispy hotteok (sweet pancakes) or the spicy tteokbokki (rice cakes), which will give you a true taste of Busan’s vibrant street food scene.

Afternoon Views & Historic Highlights

Located just a short walk from Jagalchi Market is Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park, this is a perfect addition to your Busan itinerary. From the top, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city, coastline, and harbor.

Yongdusan Park is a peaceful green space perfect for a relaxing stroll. Even if you don’t go up to the observatory, the park itself is a wonderful spot for photos, with its scenic landscapes, statues, and the octagonal Palgakjeong Pavilion. It’s a beautiful area to unwind and take in the charm of Busan’s cityscape.

What to eat at Biff Square? You absolutely can’t leave without trying the Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) and an apple waffle—two must-try snacks that’ll have you dreaming about them long after your trip.

To wrap up your Busan itinerary day 1, let’s head closer to the city centre and enjoy a relaxing evening cruise. It’s a fantastic way to take in the stunning city skyline from the water. This was one of our favorite experiences in Busan—there’s so much to see and take in!

Afterward, head over to Gwangalli Beach and take in the breathtaking view of the iconic Diamond Bridge illuminated at night. If you’re visiting on the right evening, you might be lucky enough to catch the spectacular drone show!

End your day at Millac the Market, a lively food hub offering a delightful blend of Korean and international cuisines. It’s the perfect spot to wrap up your final day in Busan! We dined at Ryoko, a cozy spot with just four signature dishes—and trust me, we had to try them all. Every bite was a flavor explosion! But don’t worry if you’re craving variety—Millac the Market has an array of options, from traditional Korean favorites to global flavors. Whether you’re in the mood for something familiar or adventurous, you’ll find something that hits the spot.

Day 2 Busan Itinerary

Morning at Busan’s Hidden Coastal Paradise

You’re going to want to start your day early because you get a relaxing treat in the afternoon so pop into a Korean convenience store for a quick bite for breakfast. You’ll be hooked on the onigiri (triangle rice ball) that you can pick up for about $1. It’s a cheap, tasty, and convenient treat on the go.

Songdo Beach Scenic Ocean Views

Start your day at Songdo Beach, a hidden gem that exceeded all expectations! The beach has crystal-clear blue waters, and the surrounding views are absolutely stunning—perfect for a relaxing morning by the sea. We have a full guide that tells you all the details about this hidden gem in Busan – Songdo Beach. I say hidden because when we were there, no one else was and I couldn’t understand why but the next day when we went to Haeundae there was 100x more people!

Next, hop on the Songdo Marine Cable Car for an unforgettable ride. This cable car offers sweeping views of the sparkling ocean, Songdo Beach, and the scenic coastline. It’s an experience that will leave you in awe, and it’s included in the Visit Busan Pass (or you can purchase individual tickets if you prefer).

Afterward, make your way to the Songdo Younggung Suspension Bridge. The views here are so breathtaking, it feels like you’re stepping into a postcard! The bridge gives you a thrilling heart-racing experience while offering more incredible coastal vistas. You’ll be snapping photos the whole way!

Lunch Options Near Songdo Beach

We spent about 3-4 hours here in the early morning, soaking in the beauty of Songdo Beach and taking in the stunning views from the cable car and suspension bridge. After all the excitement, we grabbed lunch at the Songdo Center, where the cable car drops you off. While food options are a bit limited, we still left satisfied with some delicious Korean Hot Dogs—a perfect snack to refuel for the rest of your day!

To be honest we slept in this day and started later than we hoped so we were in a rush to get to our next activity but here are a few other food options close to Songdo beach if Korean Hot Dogs aren’t your cup of tea.

Shinsegae Centum City & Museum 1

A Quick Change of Plans: From Museum 1 to Spa Land

Originally, we had planned to visit Museum 1 before heading to Spa Land, but when we arrived at the doors, we found it closed. We’re not sure exactly why, as we didn’t dive deep into the details, but the good news is that Spa Land is just a few steps away! If you’re following this Busan itinerary and have the Visit Busan Pass, I’d recommend trying to slot in Museum 1 before heading for some well-deserved relaxation at Spa Land. It’s a great way to get the best of both worlds—art and culture followed by pure indulgence and comfort.

Afternoon at a Jimjilibang (Korean Bathhouse)

Spa Land in Centum City

Now it’s time to add some relaxation to your Busan itinerary. After your morning adventure at Songdo Beach, head to Spa Land Centum City for a truly unique experience—a Jimjilibang (Korean bathhouse). This is a must-try experience if you’re looking to fully embrace Korean culture plus, you are on vacation right?

The first thing you’ll notice is that the baths are separated by gender, and yes, you’ll be asked to get naked. It can feel a bit awkward at first, but trust me—it’s part of the process! The baths are a place for relaxation, and once you embrace it, you’ll understand why this is such an integral part of Korean culture.

After you’ve had your fill of soaking and unwinding, you’ll be given a comfortable outfit to wear, which is usually a loose shirt and pants. From here, you can explore the various relaxation rooms together—perfect for chilling out after a morning of exploring. Don’t miss the foot bath, either—after a few hours of walking around, your feet will thank you. Trust me, this is one of those experiences that you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated and fully relaxed, ready to take on the rest of your Busan itinerary!

What Should I Bring to Spa Land?

The beauty of Spa Land is that most essentials are provided, so you can pack light and focus on relaxing. Here’s what you should bring for the best experience:

A Small Bag: Use this to carry personal items like your phone or wallet. While bags aren’t allowed inside the spa areas, secure lockers are available to store your belongings.

Comfortable Clothing: Spa Land provides clean spa uniforms for use inside, so there’s no need to worry about what to wear during your visit. However, you’ll want to bring fresh clothes to change into afterward—trust us, you’ll feel so refreshed you won’t want to put on your previously worn outfit. Bathing suits aren’t needed or allowed here, as it’s a traditional Korean spa experience.

Personal Toiletries (Optional): Spa Land offers complimentary basics like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face cleansers, and lotions. However, if you have specific skincare products or toiletries you prefer, feel free to bring them.

Your ID: If you’re a tourist, you might need identification to purchase tickets or confirm your booking.

That being said, if you only bring yourself, that’s perfectly fine too—Spa Land has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable experience making it so easy to slot into your Busan itinerary.

What Time is Spa Land Open, and How Long Can I Stay?

Spa Land’s hours and stay limits ensure you have ample time to relax. Here’s what you need to know:

Regular Season (March–June, September–November):

Open: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Last Entry: 9:00 PM

Peak Season (July–August, December–February):

Open: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM

You can stay for up to 4 hours per visit.
Additional time is charged at a small hourly rate of 5,000 won per hour.
If you spend more than 10,000 won (~6.80 USD) at Spa Land you can stay an additional 2 hours.

Day 3 Busan Itinerary

Morning at Busan's Coastal Temple

Head to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, one of the most picturesque Buddhist temples in Korea. Perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, it’s a peaceful place to reflect and take in the views. There is a sign that says “The most beautiful temple in Korea”. You’ll likely spend around 2 hours here. I would get there early to avoid the crowd as Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is one of the best places to visit in Busan.

Now you have two options! If you only have 3 days in Busan, Option 1: is a must! It’s the heart of the city, and you can’t miss it. You can easily spend an entire day around Haeundae Beach and Blueline Park, exploring the sandy shores, attractions, and scenic views.

Option 2: since you’ll already be visiting the nearby Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, is Lotte World Busan & Sky Luge is just a short distance away, making it the perfect spot to add some excitement to your day. If you’re looking for a fun-filled experience, consider spending the afternoon at Lotte World, which is a great way to round off your Busan itinerary!

Option 1: Afternoon at Haeundae's BEST!

A day at Haeundae Blueline Park

Next hop on the Haeundae Beach Train & Sky Capsule. These two attractions offer scenic views and the chance to explore the beach from a new perspective.

What’s the difference between the Haeundae Sky Capsule and Beach Train?

The Haeundae Beach Train is a charming, open-air train ride that takes you along the beautiful coastline, stopping at key landmarks like the lighthouse and observatory. It’s perfect for taking in the views while moving at a leisurely pace.

On the other hand, the Haeundae Sky Capsule offers a more exclusive experience with private, transparent capsules that give you a bird’s-eye view of the coast. It’s slower and more intimate, lasting around 25 minutes, making it a relaxing ride.

If you’re looking for some light exercise, skip the train and take a walk along the boardwalk that connects the various stops. The walking route provides a fantastic opportunity to soak in the coastal beauty at your own pace.

How do I get Haeundae Blueline Park tickets?

Note: Be sure to pre-book your tickets for the Haeundae Sky Capsule as it tends to get sold out quickly. You can do this directly on the official Blue Line Park website it will give you the breakdown of the pricing. The Haeundae Beach Train is included in the Visit Busan Pass, but the Sky Capsule requires separate tickets.

exactly how we explored Haeundae Blueline Park

We began by taking the Haeundae Beach Train from Mipo Station to Daritdol Skywalk (Stop #5). This skywalk is an exciting stop—it has a glass floor that lets you peer directly below as you walk over the cliffs, and you’ll need to wear shoe covers to protect the structure.

Afterward, we hopped back on the train for one stop and got off at Cheongsapo Station, where we enjoyed the twin lighthouses that stand proudly at the station. We recommend walking here instead as it’s really not a far walk on the boardwalk to get to the lighthouses.

At Cheongsapo Station, we boarded the Haeundae Sky Capsule back to Mipo Station. The ride, which covers only about 2 km, gives you stunning views of the ocean and coastline as you slowly ascend. The experience felt like a private seaside tour, making it a highlight of our Busan itinerary.

Inside Busan X the Sky grab a snack at the highest Starbucks in the world—it’s a surreal experience!

When you’re craving something sweet, stop by Sulbing for a refreshing bowl of bingsu (shaved ice dessert) or other tasty treats. It’s located just around the corner from Haeundae Beach.

Check how you are doing on time because this is on my top activities in Busan list and it has the best view of Haeundae Beach. This photo is likely part of the reason that inspired you to visit Busan. If you want to take the views to the next level, Busan X the Sky is the place. Head up to the 120th floor of the tower for a mind-blowing panoramic view of the city.

This is Option 2 because it’s located very close to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, making it a convenient stop if you’re in the area. For a more exciting afternoon (or if you’re traveling with kids), head to Lotte World Busan and experience Sky Luge.

If you’re wondering what to do in Busan with kids, Lotte World is a fantastic option. And it’s not just for kids—adults will enjoy it too! I was actually surprised by how thrilling the rides were. Many of you may have heard of Lotte World in Seoul—we’ve been there a few times and love it. But the Lotte World Busan location is much less crowded, so you’ll get to experience all the rides without the long lines.

What’s even better is that these two activities, though they may seem pricey initially, are included in the Visit Busan Pass! We used the 48-hour pass, scanned it at the Sky Luge at 10 am, and spent the rest of the afternoon at Lotte World We even made it in time to maximize our pass before it expired at noon. This combination of attractions is a great addition to your Busan itinerary, especially if you’re looking for some action-packed fun!
