Haeundae Blueline Park is an eco-friendly redevelopment of an old railway route along the Donghae Nambu Line in Busan. It stretches 4.8 kilometers from Mipo to Cheongsapo to Songjeong. It offers four unique attractions that showcase stunning coastal views of Busan. These four attractions include the Haeundae Beach Train, Haeundae Sky Capsule, Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory, and Cheongsapo Lighthouse.
It’s located in the Haeundae Special Tourist Zone as a part of Busan’s vision making it an international tourist city. Haeundae Blueline Park combines nature, leisure, and beautiful scenery, making it a well-rounded tourist attraction in Busan.

Our recommendation is to start from Mipo Blueline Square (pictured below). This pathway will lead you to the first attraction, the Haeundae Beach Train. We experienced both the Haeundae Sky Capsule and beach train this way. If you’re getting the Visit Busan Pass, it’s a no-brainer. This is a great way to save money on attractions when visiting Busan over multiple days. The Haeundae Beach Train is automatically included with no extra cost when you purchase the pass.

The Sky Capsule operates at 15 km/h, with a one-way trip that lasts approximately 30 minutes. When boarding the Haeundae Sky Capsule at Mipo Stn after 6:00 PM, it may limit access to the Beach Train for return trips.

The Haeundae Sky Capsule offers a romantic and unique way to enjoy the coastal views of Busan, and Haeundae Beach. You will travel 7 to 10 meters (23 to 33 feet) above the ground. Part of Haeundae Blueline Park, the Haeundae Sky Capsule repurposes a section of the historic Donghae Nambu railway line. You will notice the colorful, retro-style capsules immediately. These capsule cars provide stunning panoramic views of the ocean and the surrounding lush landscape.
This Busan sky capsule can accommodate up to four passengers, great for couples, families, or small groups looking for an unforgettable experience. The one-way cost ranges from 40,000-50,000 KRW. Refer to our ticketing section for the full breakdown of prices.
How long is the Haeundae Sky Capsule ride?
The sky capsule ride spans a 2.3-kilometer (1.4-mile) route between Mipo Station and Cheongsapo Station. It glides at about 4km/hr on the railway lasting approximately 30 minutes.

The Haeundae Sky Capsule was a highlight of our trip to Busan. It allows you to glide leisurely along the coastline taking in the peaceful ambience. The Haeundae Beach Train is another scenic railway offering a relaxing ride along the stunning East Busan coastline. The train route runs between Mipo Station, Cheongsapo Station, and Songjeong Station. The round-trip route provides spectacular views of the ocean, cliffs, and access to all attractions inside the park.

The Haeundae Beach train moves at 15km/hr along a 4.8km route between Mipo Station and Songjeong Station. It takes 25 minutes one way from one station to the other.

What Is The Cheongsapo Twin Lighthouse?
The Cheongsapo Twin Lighthouses are located in the small port village of Cheongsapo. Take a picture by the iconic red lighthouse which is intended to guide ships safely into the harbour. There is another white lighthouse the sits opposite end of the breakwater which is stunning during the sunrise. In the area you can find a coastal walking trail, seafood restaurants, and cafes. It’s also very close to our next stop, Daritdol Skywalk.

Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory
What Is The Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory?
The Daritdol Skywalk, located in Cheongsapo, Haeundae, opened in August 2017 and offers stunning views over the ocean. The 72.5-meter-long skywalk stands 20 meters above the sea and is shaped like a blue dragon, which is a symbol of the area. The name “Daritdol” comes from five reefs near the port, resembling stepping stones.
Is Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory Free?
The Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory is free of charge. You will be given slippers to wear over your shoes to protect the glass surface. The transparent glass floor creates a thrilling experience as you walk over the water. At the end of the skywalk, a telescope provides an even better view of the coast.

The Haeundae sky capsule ticket prices depend on how many people will join your car from 2 to 4 people. You cannot fit 5 people in the sky capsule and will need two separate capsules.

Haeundae Beach Train Ticket Prices
The ticket prices for the Haeundae Beach Train are:
Single Ride Pass: 8,000 KRW ($5.50 USD) One-way trip; no re-boarding allowed after getting off.
Two-Ride Pass: 12,000 KRW ($8.25 USD) Round trip; allows re-boarding once after getting off.
All-Stops Pass: 16,000 KRW ($11 USD) 1-day unlimited pass for all stations; boarding at the same station twice is not allowed)
Mipo Station and Songjeong Station are the final stops where all passengers must disembark.

What is the difference between Haeundae Park Sky Capsule & Haeundae Beach Train?
The Haeundae Sky Capsule and Haeundae Beach Train provide different experiences within Haeundae Blueline Park.
The Haeundae Sky Capsule is a private, retro-style capsule ride intended for up to four people. It provides a more intimate and romantic journey along a 2.3-kilometer track. Furthermore, it travels at a slower speed of 4 km/h while viewing stunning coastal views from 7–10 meters above ground. It costs 40,000–50,000 KRW for one-way trips depending on group size. It’s more expensive than the beach train.
In contrast, the Haeundae Beach Train is a communal sightseeing train accommodating multiple passengers. It runs a longer 4.8-kilometer route from Mipo to Songjeong with stops at key attractions like Cheongsapo. It operates at a slightly faster speed of 15 km/h, making a round trip in about 50 minutes. The train is more affordable, with fares starting at 8,000 KRW for a single ride and up to 16,000 KRW for an all-day pass. While the Sky Capsule offers a more elevated experience, the Beach Train focuses on accessibility and communal enjoyment of the scenic coastline.

Haeundae Blueline Park is well-connected and can be accessed through various forms of transportation, including metro, buses, or taxis. Depending on where you’re coming from in Busan, there are convenient options to help you reach the park’s main stations. The main stations as previously noted are Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong. In this section, we will share transportation routes from the most popular stations and to the most common attractions. We also recommend using Google Maps or Naver Maps to help you navigate the best route from your departure point.
From Busan Station to Haeundae Blueline Park Mipo Station
Getting to Haeundae Blueline Park from Busan Station is straightforward and accessible by metro, bus, or taxi.
By Metro:
Take Metro Line 1 from Busan Station to Seomyeon Station. Transfer to Metro Line 2 and continue to Haeundae Station. From Haeundae Station, exit through Exit 7 and take a 25-minute walk to Mipo Station.
By Bus:
Board Bus 1003 from Busan Station and get off at Mipo, Moontan Road Entrance (22 stops). From there, Mipo Station is approximately 5-10 minute walk. This route varies in time however, it can take around 60 minutes.
By Taxi:
A taxi ride from Busan Station to Mipo Station takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. You can expect the fare to be approximately 20,000-25,000 KRW ($14USD – $17 USD)
Overall, the quickest and most convenient route will be a taxi. However, the most cost-effective and next best is taking the bus.

From Busan Station to Haeundae Blueline Park Cheongsapo Station
Traveling from Busan Station to Cheongsapo Station at Haeundae Blueline Park is convenient, with multiple transportation options:
By Metro:
Take Metro Line 1 from Busan Station to Seomyeon Station. Transfer to Metro Line 2 and travel to Jangsan Station. From Jangsan Station, exit through Exit 5. The walk is too far on foot exceeding 30 minutes. Therefore, look for the village bus 902-A at this station, and get off at the Cheongsapo stop. This whole route involves virtually no walking however, it takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes.
By Bus:
Board the express Bus 1003 from Busan Station and go 20 stops to Jangsan Station. From here, wait for the 902-A village bus and take it to the Cheongsapo Bus Stop. This total route takes about 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
By Taxi:
A taxi ride from Busan Station to Cheongsapo Station takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare is approximately 25,000-30,000 KRW.
Overall, the most efficient but most expensive is taking a taxi. The next most efficient is taking the Bus and transferring to the village bus en route to Cheongsapo Station.

When Is the best Time Visit Haeundae Blueline Park
The best time to visit Haeundae Blueline Park is during spring to early autumn (March–October). We visited in April and the weather was very pleasant. You can expect a quieter experience in spring or autumn, while summer is busier with larger crowds. Plan to spend 2–4 hours enjoying the Haeundae Sky Capsule, Haeundae Beach Train, and nearby attractions like Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk. For the best experience, visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and capture stunning views. We heard the sunset is beautiful but didn’t visit during that time of day.

Can I walk from Cheongsapo to Mipoo Station?
Walking from Cheongsapo to Mipo Station isn’t recommended. It’s quite a long distance and isn’t a direct straight-line path. It will take between 34 to 49 minutes. There are stairs required in the 34-minute route and stairs avoided in the 49-minute route. Instead, it’s better to use the Beach Train or Sky Capsule to enjoy the coastal scenery and comfortably travel between the stations.
