Busan X The Sky boasts an impressive 101 floors, commanding a significant presence in Busan’s skyline since its opening in 2019. It is Korea’s second tallest skyscraper behind the Lotte World Tower in Seoul.

Best Times to Visit

In our opinion, the best time to visit Busan X The Sky is during the mid to late afternoon Arriving before sunset allows you to experience the breathtaking views of the city both in daylight and if you choose to stay longer, you can experience a sunset!

If you’re planning a trip to Busan, make sure to put Busan X The Sky on your list. It’s the tallest building in Busan and the fifth tallest skyscraper in the world. Additionally, It’s the most popular observatory featuring a skywalk in Busan and has stunning scenic views of the coastline and sea located right by Haeundae Beach. If you’re visiting the Sky Capsule on your trip, it’s a short walk to the Busan X The Sky.

The Observatory Entrance

We mapped the location of Busan X The Sky and started walking to the tower from Haeundae Sky Capsule. We made a huge mistake by entering a connecting building from the back and got lost for 30 mins. Don’t make this mistake! Walk towards the beach and you will see a boardwalk separating the beach and the tower in sight which is clearly labeled Busan X The Sky.

Busan X The Sky Tickets

The ticket counter is visible immediately upon entering the building. We used our Busan Discover Passes.  However, you have the option to pre-book tickets on Klook, ensuring a discounted price significantly cheaper than purchasing upon arrival. Click here to check Klook’s current price for the tickets. Note, in person, the cost for a ticket is 27,000 KRW (~20 USD) for reference. We want you to get the best price and value at the end of the day!

You have to exchange your e-tickets or Busan Discover Pass for observatory tickets. Use this new ticket with a QR code to scan in at the elevator section. The elevator ride is a hot air balloon theme. Up, Up and Away we go to the 100th floor, where the observatory skywalk deck is located.

100th Floor Observatory

The 100th floor of Busan X Observatory offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the sea. This is the best area to see and photograph Haeundae Beach from the sky. With expansive glass windows from floor to ceiling including glass floors in some areas, this is the highest point at which you can observe the beautiful skyline.

99th Floor Starbucks

The Starbucks on the 99th floor of Busan X The Sky stands as the world’s highest Starbucks. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, it offers a unique coffee experience with unparalleled panoramic views of Busan. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite brew while soaking in the breathtaking cityscape from one of the highest points in the world.

99th Floor Starbucks Bathroom

If you have to take a bathroom break, we recommend using the washrooms located down the stairs from where you order your Starbucks! Moreover, you can enjoy some of the best bathroom views while sitting on the toilet – an unexpectedly fun experience!

98th Floor Observatory

One floor down, we love this spot to see a different view of the opposite side of Haeundae Beach! You will see stunning skyscrapers and views of Cheongsapo Port in the distance spanning into the sea!

Surprisingly, for once, you don’t have to pay extra to look through the binoculars!
