Indonesian is the main language of Indonesia. English barriers may exist however, it is frequently well-understood in popular tourist destinations like Bali.
Entry Requirements
30-day Tourist Visa upon arrival in Indonesia, the cost is $35 USD or 500,000 IDR. If you intend on staying more than 30 days and wish to extend your visa online for an additional 30 days, you must initially pre-book it online before your initial arrival date. Proof of vaccination or a test result is not required.
Currency
The main currency used in Indonesia is the Rupiah (Rp or IDR). The most common denominations are 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, and 100,000 bank notes.

In Indonesia, tap water is not safe for drinking. It is recommended to only use filtered bottled water to ensure safe drinking water purchased at convenience stores.
When is the best time to visit Indonesia?
The best time to visit Indonesia is during the peak season, which is between May and September when you can expect sunny weather, minimal rainfall, and ideal conditions for outdoor activities and popular tourist attractions and sites. During this period, temperatures range from 26°C (79°F) to 33°C (91°F). The rainy season in Indonesia, from October to April, typically brings the highest rainfall. However, it also offers the advantage of lush greenery and fewer tourists, with temperatures ranging from 23°C (73°F) to 30°C (86°F).
