4 Songdo Beach Attractions
Songdo Beach is Korea’s first public beach that is a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. It’s incredible many unique attractions near the beach including the Songdo Skywalk, Songdo Cable Car, and Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge. We will now discuss all these attractions in detail starting with Songdo Beach.
1. Songdo Beach
We started our day by visiting Songdo Beach first thing in the morning! The beach itself was so peaceful and was not as busy as the popular Haeundae Beach. However, you will immediately notice the crystal clear waters and how large the beach stretches. Songdo beach is great for not only swimming but relaxing considering it stretches 0.5 miles long.
Songdo Beach has shallow waters about 1–1.5 meters deep. It was rebuilt in 2000 with more space, fountains, and access to places like Jagalchi Market and Amnam Park. Amnam Park, once a military area, is now a nature park with a 3.8-kilometer walkway, cafes, seafood spots, and views of Yeongdo Island. We will discuss Amnam park in another attraction upcoming!
The area has hotels, restaurants, and facilities like a walkway, boat yard, and parking. Nearby is the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall, used as a presidential residence during the Korean War.
Songdo Beach is a free attraction to explore the beach as it’s enjoyed by the public.
2. Songdo Skywalk (Songdo Cloud Trails)
The Songdo Skywalk is a free attraction located on the eastern side of Songdo Beach leads to Geobukseom Island. Songdo Skywalk can also be referred to as Songdo Cloud Trails. As you walk on the skywalk you will notice glass floor sections that make it feel like walking above the ocean.
Songdo Skywalk’s panoramic views has a century-long history, and the surrounding coast, including numerous ships anchored nearby. The Songdo skywalk stretches 365 meters and remains a top attraction at Songdo Beach. Even better, once you finish exploring you will end up at our very next attraction!
3. Songdo Cable Car (Songdo Bay Station)
Where to start Songdo Cable Car?
The Songdo Cable Car (Air Cruise) is located a 5-minute walk from the Songdo Skywalk. We recommend arriving at Songdo Bay Station before Noon as peak traffic time increases by the afternoon.
Where to scan Songdo Cable Car tickets?
Once you’re inside the Songdo Cable Car station, make your way to the ticket counter to scan your pre-booked ticket barcode. Then make your way upstairs using the escalators to the cable car loading dock. As a reminder, you can either purchase the ticket individually or as a part of the Visit Busan Pass.

Songdo Cable Car Cabins
Once you have arrived upstairs you will notice two separate lines. There are two Songdo cable car options that make up the 39 cable cars. The two types of cable cars are the regular and crystal cabins. The only difference is that the crystal cable car has a glass floor so you can see the ocean below. You can choose this option when pre-b00oing tickets.
Where does the Busan Air Cruise take you?
After boarding the Songdo cable car, you’ll embark on a 1.62 km cable journey. The cable car will take you from Songnim Park in the east of Songdo Beach to Amnam Park. You will glide at heights reaching 86 meters to the west side of the Songdo beach area. We loved the breathtaking views of Songdo Beach, Songdo Skywalk, and the Namhangdaegyo Bridge.
How long is the cable car ride in Songdo?
The Songdo cable car distance from the starting point at Songnim Park to Amnam Park takes approximately 15-20 minutes. It’s a fantastic way to observe all the beauty, and take beautiful photographs of Songdo Beach from the sky!
4. Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge
Is Songdo Yonggung suspension bridge free?
After arriving at Amnam Park, we strolled for about 5 minutes to reach The Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge. It’s a cherished Busan landmark with deep spiritual roots and stunning architecture. You will come across a ticket office where everyone will pay 1,000 KRW cash to enter the bridge. If you have a group of 10 people, it’s reduced to 800 KRW.
The elevation of the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge spanning across to Dongseom Island provides an incredibly picturesque photo opportunity! After enjoying your time at the suspension bridge, you can take the return Songdo cable car back. The initial Songdo cable car ticket you purchased includes your return back to Songdo Bay Station!
