Singapore’s beloved YY Kafei Dian is known for its authentic coffee and kaya toast. For an authentic experience of Singapore’s coffee culture and traditional food, visit this famous location in the city centre. Expect a little bit of a wait, but let me tell you it’s well worth it!
We loved the kaya toast, it has a slightly sweet taste and is traditionally served with eggs! The good quality coffee gave us the energy for a jam-packed day!

10 AM - Fort Canning Tree Tunnel
Next on this Singapore Itinerary is all free activities, which is something we loved that there were so many free things to do in Singapore! The Fort Canning Tree Tunnel is a picturesque and beautiful natural canopy created by ancient trees, and it is located in the historic Fort Canning Park. During your stay in Singapore, this offers a calming getaway for history buffs and nature lovers.
Now this stunning photo spot is a must! We waited about 5-10 minutes in line to get a beautiful Instagram-worthy photograph!

10:30 AM - Fort Canning Center
As this Singapore itinerary continues we’re still exploring Fort Canning!
The Fort Canning Centre is a cultural center that hosts a variety of events and is located in Fort Canning Park. It is a must-visit because it skillfully integrates historical significance with modern cultural experiences.
We loved walking through the park which is home to a diverse range of beautiful trees and plants, including over 700 species of flora. If you decide to do a guided walking tour, I recommend starting the day 30 minutes to an hour earlier as the tour lasts about 2 hours; Fort Canning Tree Tunnel is included in the Monday-Friday guided tour.
Price: Free (General Admission), You can book a guided tour of Fort Canning Hill on Saturdays or Monday-Friday.

11:30 AM - Old Tree Hill Police Station
The Old Hill Street Police Station in Singapore’s Chinatown is a historical landmark with over 900 colorful windows. This iconic building blends Asian and European architectural styles and offers a glimpse into Singapore’s colonial past. Old Hill Street Police Station is another free activity or a better description is a photo spot in this Singapore itinerary.
We recommend crossing the street for the best photo opportunity on Hill Street. It’s a must-visit for history enthusiasts and tourists who love a great picture showcasing beautiful colors and stunning architecture!

12 PM - Clarke Quay
Clarke Quay is a popular venue that combines cuisine, entertainment, and nightlife situated along the Singapore River. This ancient quay has a lovely waterfront location and a variety of eateries, cafes, and stores.
There is a mall inside to do some shopping and you can purchase a lock from a vending machine inside the mall, and then lock your love on the heart-shaped stand outside! How fun! Couples should add this activity to their Singapore itinerary!

12:45 PM - Hong Lim Market & Food
Hong Lim Market, located in Singapore’s Chinatown, is a culinary experience for food enthusiasts and culture seekers. Singapore is known for its hawker centres and this is one of them. Renowned for its delectable array of local street food, offering a taste of authentic Singaporean cuisine.
We ate at Heng Kee for its famous Chicken Curry Mee noodles, moist curry chicken, and potatoes for only S$6 ($4.45 USD).
We also visited Dapur F. Faiz for a sampler plate of Malay food for S$6 ($4.45 USD), and a fresh fruit papaya smoothie for S$2 ($1.50 USD).

2 PM - Merlion Park
Merlion Park, a quintessential symbol on your Singapore itinerary, presents breathtaking views against the stunning city skyline, situated just across from the iconic Marina Sands Bay.
Capture photos with the famous 70-ton Merlion statue, situated at the Singapore River’s mouth. Observe the stunning modern skyscrapers in the backdrop.

Shake Shack at Marina Bay Sands is a burger lover heaven and is conveniently located between the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. If you’re looking for a place to grab a quick dinner near Marina Sands Bay attractions this is perfect.
Shake Shack has something for everyone, from juicy ShackBurgers to vegetarian options, creamy shakes, and gluten-free options, it definitely hit the spot!

6 PM - Cloud Forest - Avatar Experience
Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay is a botanical wonderland, for not just your nature lovers but for tourists of all ages. The Cloud Forest offers a jaw-dropping journey through lush greenery and a breathtaking waterfall centrepiece. We were amazed by all the diverse plant life, the cool-moist climate zone, and the architecture.
During the time we visited, the Cloud Forest was offering a cool Avatar exhibit. We recommend pre-booking tickets in advance to save time on the day, and avoid waiting in line!

7:45 PM - Gardens by the Bay Light Show at Suertree Grove
Supertree Grove is comprised of massive tree-like structures and includes 12 technologically advanced iconic trees. Supertree Grove at Garden Rhapsody is located in Gardens by the Bay after sunset by 7:45 PM.
Observe the spectacle created by the mesmerizing symphony of lights and music. You can check the schedule for the light show theme and timings.
You can purchase tickets to view the show from the OCBC Skyway for ~S$8 ($6USD). This offers a unique elevated view of the light show up close on a 128m-long walkway in the sky.

9 PM - Spectre Lights & Water Show
End your day watching the stunning Spectra, Singapore’s renowned light and water show. It’s located right outside Marina Sands Bay, grab your spot before the show starts at 8 PM/9 PM. Pictured was behind where we were seated.
The show lasts for about 15 minutes of dazzling choreography of fountains, music, and lights overlooking the breathtaking Singapore city skyline of skyscrapers in the distance. We absolutely loved this experience and a great way to end a jam-packed day in the beautiful city of Singapore.
